Field notes / inside delivery
Delivered means more than arrived. A practical checklist for store fixtures, equipment and deliveries that need people, access and placement coordinated together. Use it with your provider’s confirmed scope.
Print this checklist The freight and equipment Confirm the final packed dimensions, weights and piece count. Check unusual units individually rather than assuming a pallet count proves they fit. Confirm the selected vehicle’s interior, door and liftgate suitability with the provider. Share photos or a loading layout when the arrangement is tight. Agree the loading order and flag items that cannot be stacked or rotated. Tell us about any change before dispatch. The building and receiving window Confirm where the vehicle can legally stop, how long it can remain and the permitted delivery window. Share the receiving contact, access instructions and any building approval requirements directly with the desk. Check the path from truck to placement: doorway and elevator dimensions, stairs, surface conditions, carrying distance and equipment restrictions. The people and the finish line Specify the required crew and the exact placement point. Inside delivery, room-of-choice and installation are different tasks. Confirm unpacking, pallet/crate breakdown and the exact materials to be removed. Empty pallets and old equipment may require separate acceptance. Confirm whether assembly, installation, disconnection or specialist work is included. Do not assume those tasks are part of white glove. When the plan changes Ask for provider confirmation before adding removal, extra items, a different room or more onsite work. Confirm any additional charge or time allowance before proceeding. At delivery, check the agreed work and record any exception. Arrival at the building is not the same as completed inside delivery. Need help defining the job?
